Blues begin the sesson with a one-one draw at Swansea. Andy Munro is optimistic.
Blues fought out a hard-won point at Swansea and in truth it could easily have been three.
After their disappointing friendly defeat against Peterborough when the team conceded three goals in the first fifteen minutes, defensive order was restored with the help of the two new full-backs and a solid partnership of Kevin Long and Dion Sanderson.
In front of them Krystian Beilik and Ivan Sunjic kept a good shape, with the latter looking particular good. Up top, Keshi Anderson was powerful, laying on the goal for the equally impressive Siriki Dembele.
If there are questions to be asked – and more importantly answered – before the transfer window closes, maybe it’s whether we need a pacey and strong centre forward. They’re not easy to get but a first loan signing of the season would do.
The reasoning behind such a plea is that Scott Hogan sometimes runs around with little effect and, of all our new signings, Tyler Roberts still needs to convince.
Still, it was a more than decent start to the season.
