Blues’ dramatic win at Swansea City has Andy Munro encouraged.

After a torrid first half when we were lucky to be only losing by one goal, John Eustace was rewarded for making early changes to turn this match around. Yet I wouldn’t blame him for starting with the old guard of Gary Gardner and George Friend; both intelligent players but both proving they need to be match sharp, which they patently weren’t.

Up front I think Blues are starting to realise the worth of the Juke irrespective of age, as well as the effectiveness of Tahith Chong when played wide. Emmanuel Longelo was also a constant thorn in the opposition’s side with his pace and power, and what a bargain he is is going to be at £400,000.

The laboured midfield was transformed with the intro of Juninho Bacuna for his calmness on the ball and Hannibal Mejbri for his boundless energy. Meanwhile, at the back Maxime Colin put in his usual masterful display and alongside him Dion Sanderson and Auston Trusty were fairly dependable. Obviously John Ruddy has been criticised for his costly mistake but his detractors should take into account the saves he also made.
Overall, this was an excellent win which may prove a turning point. Let’s hope so!
