New Pizza Pods launch at Sarehole Mill

Visitors can dine outside whatever the weather.

As the autumnal weather blows in and we reach for our umbrellas, Sarehole Mill is launching new covered Pizza Pods for households and bubbles to book so they can still enjoy pizza in the courtyard at the popular historic location, whatever the weather!

With a range of freshly made pizza options to enjoy, as well as hot drinks and sweet treats, visitors can dine in style in the private igloos that protect guests from the elements. Wrapping up warm will still be a must to ensure a cosy dining experience.

The pods can accommodate up to five people (minimum booking for two) and can be booked here.

When booking a Pizza Pod, diners must be from the same household, according to current Tier 2 coronavirus restrictions. Outdoor tables can also be booked, where households can mix in groups of up to five. Reservations must be made in advance, and slots are available from 12noon-3pm, Wednesday–Sunday.

As we edge closer to the festive season, tickets are also available for a Christmas Pizza in the Pods event, which will be a festive celebration at Sarehole Mill on Saturday 21st November. Households will be welcomed to the courtyard with a hot drink, followed by a menu of winter warmer soup, freshly baked pizza with a festive twist and a hot Christmas tart for dessert. With music playing, and blankets encouraged, this event is the ideal way to get into the Christmas spirit.

Tickets for this event are £24.50 per person, with a minimum booking for two people, and maximum of five people, who must be from the same household/support bubble. Pre-booking is essential and available here: www.birminghammuseums.org.uk/sarehole/whats-on/christmas-pizza-in-the-pods.

Alex Nicholson-Evans, Commercial Director at Birmingham Museums Trust, said: “The Pizza Pods have arrived at Sarehole Mill and are looking fantastic! We are so pleased to be able to offer this unique dining experience, bringing you our delicious pizza made on-site to enjoy in the shelter of your own private pod. There are a range of culinary delights to choose from, including vegetarian and vegan options. We hope our new pods will encourage visitors to embrace the unpredictable English weather and continue to join us for a tasty meal in unique, historic surroundings.”
