Soul, blues, rock – whatever you fancy the Robin can provide for you this week.
Kicking off on Monday is the blues rock singer/guitarist Popa Chubby. Influenced by the blues rockers of the sixties and described as a cross between the Stooges, Hendrix and Robert Johnson to name just a few, Chubby also worked with seminal New York punk Richard Hell in his early days. Now with a recording career dating back over twnty-five years behind him, a European tour is promoting his new album It’s a Mighty Hard Road.

Then on Tuesday there’s a return for a legendary hellraising rock veteran of the old school. Pete Way first came to fame as bassist for UFO during their glory days. he then moved on to Fastway and Waysted as well as touring with Ozzy Osbourne. Now leading his own band once again after a prolonged period of ill-health, a mix of old favourites and new material awaits enthusiastic audiences.
