Mutt Motorcycles set to expand thanks to £1 million growth capital facility.
Birmingham’s Mutt Motorcycles has received a growth capital loan facility in excess of £1 million from Santander, which will enable it to invest in additional stock to support its growing network of motorcycle distributors. By working with law firm Harper James’s solicitors to complete a deal with the bank, Mutt Motorcycles have ensured they have the financial backing to increase their capability as a high-growth market leader in motorcycle customisation and sales.
Based in Digbeth, Mutt Motorcycles design, build and sell custom motorcycles from a wide range of models and brands, whilst keeping community at its heart. The company began in 2016, and has grown at a rapid rate, moving into international markets and diversifying into selling apparel and parts. Their headquarters also serve as a workshop, coffee shop and event space, as they aim to become a hub of independent business in their local area.
Mutt became a client of Harper James in 2017, working with expert lawyers to protect and support its ongoing progress. When the need arose to secure a growth capital loan facility from Santander in order to continue to increase its network of distributors and expand, Mutt Director Will Rigg got in touch with Harper James to facilitate the deal.
The law firm’s unique payment plans enabled Mutt to access high-quality legal support at significantly reduced prices. As a result, Mutt Motorcycles now have the financial provision to further expand their local, national and international success.
Adam Kudryl, Commercial Partner for Harper James and facilitator of the matter, said: “It is fantastic to be able to support homegrown businesses like Mutt Motorcycles. We have been offering consistent, long-term support to their team since 2017, and this significant growth capital loan facility is just one of the string of successes Mutt has achieved.
“At Harper James we pride ourselves on offering high-quality, affordable legal services to businesses across a huge range of sectors and at different stages in their business journey. We will continue to work with Mutt Motorcycles to see that they can access the legal support they need.”
