Cadbury World’s Giant Easter Egg aids children’s charity

Seasonal treat created in support of Make a Wish.

Chocolatiers at Cadbury World have fundraising cracked this year, after creating a beautiful giant chocolate egg to support the important work of Make-a-Wish.

Talented chocolatiers, Gail Deeley and Eve Turner, took two days to craft the egg, which stands at an impressive 2.5ft tall and weighs in at 38kg – the equivalent of 844 standard bars of Cadbury Dairy Milk.

The show-stopping egg has been hand-decorated with an intricate and unique white chocolate design and will help to raise awareness and much-needed funds for the charity through a raffle for Make-A-Wish’s corporate partner, DHL.

Diane Mitchell, Marketing Manager at Cadbury World said; “We are proud to support a number of charities at Cadbury World, and by combining the skills of our talented team with the nation’s love for chocolate, our giant eggs are a fantastic way of giving something back. We’re delighted to be able to play our part in raising money for such a wonderful cause.”

Guests to Cadbury World can see the chocolatiers in action in the popular Chocolate Making zone, as well as choosing their favourite treat – from marshmallows to popping candy – to add to a delicious pot of warm melted Cadbury Dairy Milk.

The excitement continues throughout the attraction as visitors can catch the popular Cadbury characters in the 4d Chocolate Adventure zone – an interactive cinema experience complete with motion seats – before hopping aboard a ‘beanmobile’ to take a magical ride through the land of Cadabra.

Families can take their pick from plenty of tasty treats in the Cadbury Café and no visit is complete without a stop off at The World’s Biggest Cadbury Shop – the perfect place to stock up on favourite Cadbury treats.
