Former world champion to front main attraction.
Rock band Toseland has been announced as the headline act on the main stage at Midlands Air Ambulance Charity’ Bike4Life Ride Out and Festival 2016.
This is the first time the British five piece band will play at Bike4Life Fest, which takes place on Sunday 8th May and attracts over 10,000 people each year. The Festival follows the 23 mile motorcycle Bike4Life Ride Out from Shrewsbury to RAF Cosford, and is has fast become one of the most popular biker events in the UK.
Tickets are already selling well for Bike4Life Fest and with the Festival’s headline band now announced it is expected sales will go through the roof for this popular event.
Toseland’s front man, James Toseland, will be right at home at Bike4Life as he is a former motorcycle racing champion, having won the World Superbike Championship in 2007 and 2004, and competed in the MotoGP in 2008 and 2009. James and the band’s appeal mean bikers and music fans alike will be stoked by this latest news from the Bike4Life Fest team.
The announcement comes as Toseland releases their second album, Cradle The Rage, which went on sale on 11th March, and the new album follows on from the great success of the first, Renegade. In addition, the band has just returned from a tour across Europe with Black Stone Cherry.
Jason Levy, chair of the Bike4Life organising committee and fundraising and marketing director for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, said: “Toseland are the perfect fit for the Bike4Life Festival. With fantastic music and a former motorcycle racing legend, the atmosphere on the day is going to be electric.”
James Toseland added: “The band and I are so excited to be playing at the Bike4Life Festival! It’s such a huge year for the band with my second album coming out on March 11th and touring Europe for the first time with Black Stone Cherry. This festival comes only weeks after we will have finished our headline tour around the UK so we will be fully up to speed ready for an amazing day of music and motorcycling! It’s always a pleasure performing in front of my old family of biker friends and I’m sure it will be a great day. See you there!”
While the Ride Out and Festival is a great day out, Midlands Air Ambulance Charity’s Bike4Life event is partnered with the Safer Roads Partnership to raise awareness of biker safety.
Visitors to the Bike4Life Festival will find a host of activities and displays to watch. As well as the music on the main stage, there will be a range of refreshment stands, exhibitions, tutorials and stalls, making it a great day out for all. Those interested in further motorcycle training will also have chance to speak with a variety of organisations.
Due to the popularity of the event, there are only 3,500 places available in the Ride Out, and pre-registration is a must. Tickets cost £10 for one biker and pillion for the Ride Out and entry to the Festival, while entry to the Festival only is £5 per person.
