Legendary Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant has donated a unique memento to be auctioned for good causes.

Following a chance meeting between local charity fundraiser Tony Meehan and Robert Plant at the Robin 2 – at a Terry Reid gig – Robert, after finding out about Tony’s prolific local fundraising activities over the past few years, agreed to sign and donate his Ibanez guitar to be auctioned for MacMillan Cancer support and Neonatal Unit New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton

 Tony said: “Following our meeting, I was absolutely blown away that, on the spot, Robert agreed to donate the signed Ibanez Guitar. What a thoughtful and kind gesture by such a legend! An amazing opportunity to own a guitar from such a great man, surely not to be missed”

 To date Tony has raised an astonishing £85,000 for local charities thanks to the generosity of local people.
