Birmingham’s most stylish shopping and leisure destination The Mailbox is adding a splash of flavour with a host of tasty events this summer.
On Friday 5th July, The Mailbox will be hosting a meaty ‘Great British Steak Off’ competition which will see steak serving restaurants come together to compete for the title of The Mailbox’s ultimate steak champion. The restaurants, including Miller and Carter, Malmaison and Café Rouge, will each cook for a panel of judges for their chance to be crowned the winner.
The enticing Taste of The Mailbox will be returning to add some seasoning to the summer from Friday 12 – Sunday 14 July 12pm – 4pm. This year’s event on level 3 of The Mailbox will showcase some fantastic food, drink and special offers from a selection of The Mailbox’s restaurants, including The Oriental, Gourmet Burger Kitchen and Strada.
The Mailbox will also be welcoming a mix of spirited musical acts throughout the summer, with performances from the Covent Garden Street Theatre, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO) and Birmingham International Jazz & Blues Festival. From 30 June – 15 September, acts including the Digby Fairweather Quartet, the Melissa Lauren Trio and Les Zauto Stompers de Paris from Birmingham International Jazz Festival, plus Rob Ray Collins, Felicity Footloose and English Gents Stilts from the Covent Garden Theatre Company, will be heading to The Mailbox for what promises to be a season of smooth grooves.
Tarah Hewitt, marketing manager at The Mailbox, said: “We’re very excited to have a selection of such great events taking place at The Mailbox this summer, demonstrating just what a fantastic variety of bars and restaurants we have on offer. Playing host to a series of diverse and fun musical performances will add to the vibrant atmosphere at The Mailbox and will hopefully charm our visitors even more.”
New for this summer, The Mailbox is introducing a brand new way to bring tasty food to its visitors with its Taste of The Mailbox cart, which will provide delicious samples from a variety of its restaurants. Keep your eyes out for a Taste of The Mailbox throughout the summer season.
