In the week that saw British Airways lose a case over someone wishing to wear a crucifix at work, Gordon Harley takes issue with external emblems of belief.
I can’t help but notice all the noise in the press recently about the wearing of particular pieces of metal or material to denote or to demonstrate one’s beliefs.
And I can’t help but think that we would all be better off if the same energy went into actions that demonstrated what our beliefs meant.
I don’t really care about what you believe in; providing your beliefs place great emphasis on love , tolerance and kindness – surely the things that all our gods want to see.
