Local promoters First Team have put together another good-value boxing bill in Walsall for Saturday night.
Despite cancellations due to a training injury suffered by Tipton featherweight Lee Glover and British cruiserweight champion Rob Norton pulling out of a proposed warm-up before aiming to win Lonsdale Belt outright later this month, there’s still an intriguing night of boxing in prospect at Walsall Town Hall on Saturday night.
Topping the bill on the First Team promotion is undefeated Midland area light-middleweight champion Jamie Ball, who will be fighting the dangerous Lithuanian middleweight Raimonds Sniedze.
West Bromwich light-heavyweight Adam Corbett, who won his debut at this venue in June, will be facing veteran cruiser Nick Gigg of Bristol. Popular Dudley featherweight Saquib Amir, who also made a winning debut on the same bill, will be up against another young prospect, lightweight Dan Naylor from.
Stafford middleweight Grant Cunningham faces Wiltshire-based debutant Dan Phelps, while there are pro debuts for Brierley Hill welterweight Kyle Spencer, due to meet Aaron Fox, also from Wiltshire, and Steve Pearce of Stourbridge, scheduled to face another boxer from the West Country, Dan Carr.
Tickets are available from the Town Hall box office on 0845 111 2900 or promoter PJ Rowson on 07976 283157.
