Owlstock revives spirit of ’69

Digbeth’s most affordable one-day festival returns.

Owlstock – the ultimate one-day festival celebrating music and peace – is back for 2024! Taking place on Sunday 25th August, the event will offer the ultimate affordable festival experience, in the heart of Digbeth. Since its inception in 2019, Owlstock has served as the unparalleled tribute to the eponymous Woodstock festival of 1969 taking place at The Night Owl.

The annual festival pays homage to the unforgettable music from the iconic era and will feature a huge range of activities throughout the day. Tribute acts include Are You Experienced, celebrating the music of Jimi Hendrix; Wldflwrs presents The Last Waltz a tribute to The Band; Layla Tutt; and Jackie (Raggle Taggle Freakout Fuzz).

Also on the bill are Exile on Trinity Street, a local supergroup comprised of members from Low Red Moon, High Horses, Rhino, and The Ranters, who will be covering hits from the inimitable Rolling Stones. DJs Liam Mckeown, Ed Edwards and Callum Gallagher will be spinning tunes throughout the day, honouring the best music from the unforgettable era.

Hosted by The Night Owl, Owlstock will also offer delicious street food from Dining by Dalton, alongside themed cocktails celebrating freedom, love and peace synonymous with the generation.
If that wasn’t enough, the schedule also includes a record fair from Birmingham Record Exchange and stalls from local maker Casey Joan Art and Zen. Children are welcome until 8pm, offering the opportunity for unforgettable fun for the whole family.

Immerse yourself in the psychedelic wonders of the 60s with the ultimate celebration of love and peace over the August Bank Holiday weekend. With a packed programme and tickets available from just £8, Owlstock is one of the most affordable festival experiences this summer.
