Up the Villa is a 5% New England IPA, made with all-English hops, starting with Challenger, a classic variety with a nod to the hops used when Villa won the European Cup. Mixed with Jester, Olicana and Harlequin, bringing the tropical flavours of New World Hops, developed and grown in the U, this is an easy drinking IPA, packed with the flavour that will keep you coming back for more.

The ‘80’s legends are going to be helping with the brewing process, Gary Williams, left back for Aston Villa in the 1982 winning team says “When we were contacted by Trinity Brew Co. and they explained their vision, we thought it was a great idea and is a fantastic celebration of both current and past teams, celebrated in a beer.

“I love the idea of the hops from the 80’s and hops from now being used in the brewing process. With the brewery being called Trinity, and the Trinity Road stand at Villa Park, it all seemed to fit very nicely. We look forward to being at the media day, helping shovel some malt, try the beer, take some photos and find out more about the brewery. We feel privileged to be a part of this and for having a beer which acknowledges our European Cup winning team along with a celebration of the current team.”

Trinity brew Co. founder John Waterman and some of the team who are massive Villa fans, are really excited for the launch of the beer. “We can’t wait for customers to try our Villa inspired beer, we are super proud of the Villa team qualifying for the Champions League and have so much respect for the ‘82 team. Having some of the legendary players endorse the beer is huge and we can’t wait for them to come to the brewery to try the beer.”

Established in 2020, Trinity Brew Co. has been serving craft beers brewed with specialist British malt, growing in popularity ever since. With a taproom on site and in house Texan slow cooked BBQ food from Rub Me Tender, with regular events including comedy nights, sports events, Texan BBQ parties and more.

Up the Villa will be available at the Trinity Brew Co. taproom (open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays) as well as bars and pubs around the Midlands from Saturday 14th September.

We will be hosting a Q&A evening with some of the stars from the 1982 team in September (date TBC), where you have the chance to meet and greet some of the players, hear stories from their title winning and European Cup Winning campaigns and a chance to drink Up the Villa IPA.
