Owned and run by small, independent hospitality operators, Freespirit Pubs, the group is rightly celebrating this award, not least because it’s quite an achievement to have been awarded this accolade just over a year after opening. The House is the group’s most recent acquisition and was taken over and re-opened following a major refurbishment in February 2023,

Located on The Parade in the centre of Leamington Spa, The House is a lively bar and dining pub and a popular haunt with locals heading for a fun night out on the town. The House hosts a programme of regular live gigs, including weekly comedy nights and serves great cocktails and wines, an inventive small plates menu and Sunday lunch.

House’s head chef, Karolina Rosa, brings a fresh new concept to Royal Leamington Spa with her modern take on traditional Polish classics combined with her own interpretation of British cuisine. Karolina has been heading up the House kitchen since re-opening and works closely with local suppliers and artisan producers to showcase the finest, local seasonal produce on her menus.

The House launched a new pop-up dining concept, Number 75, in October 2023, and which occupies a previously under-utilised area within House and with its own entrance, Number 75 offers a simple, but sophisticated dining space with an elevated à la carte menu and service. Since trialling Number 75 in the run up to Christmas, it has proved so popular, that Freespirit decided to continue its offering and it’s now a full-time fixture.
