Andy Munro endures Blues’ goalless draw with Bristol City.
Nil-nil against a play-off spot-chasing Bristol City was the archetypical bore draw that it sounds. In fairness to the visitors, if anybody came close to winning it was them but they were only marginally better than a flat Blues side.
At the back Emnanuel Longelo was poor in possession and shaky in defence whilst alongside him the rest of the defence, Cody Drameh apart, also had their unreliable moments. In front of them, whilst Jordan James and Ivan Sunjic were competent without setting the world alight. Meanwhile, Siriki Dembele looked isolated and bereft of confidence with the youngster Romelle Donovan to often out muscled.
As usual Jay Stansfield ran his socks off, although too often he was chasing shadows because of the lack of support. Apart from a five minute burst of fresh energy, the subs made little impact to end another disappointing night – so where does that leave Wayne Rooney?
