You know Christmas is on the way when Slade announce a tour. One of the biggest-selling British bands of all time, Slade are synonymous with the festive season thanks to their immortal chart-topper Merry Christmas Everybody, which is celebrating its fiftieth anniversary this year.
Lead guitarist Dave Hill’s latest version of the band, which features in the line-up his twenty-year associate bassist John Berry, will be touring the UK during December, culminating in a final night at Birmingham’s O2 Academy 2 on Saturday 23rd December.
Slade today are still one of the most exciting bands on the road, and their stage performance is a dynamic, powerful and exhilarating roller-coaster ride of pure unadulterated rock’n’roll. They continue to entertain festival crowds throughout Europe and they’re no less enrergetic when playing bak ‘ome.
