How Birmingham travels during Euro 2020.
Data from ride app Bolt revealed the most popular destinations for England’s game against Czech Republic were New Street station and Bus Station in Digbeth as rides increased 100% in the lead up to kick-off.
It seems riders have been travelling far and wide to support England in the Euros, as data suggests one potential fan headed to Wembley Stadium to watch England take on Scotland in a journey covering 151.83 miles over 2 hours 41minutes from Birmingham to London.
Bolt, who launched in Birmingham last week with the aim of helping the cities’ residents get around the town quickly and affordably, have already seen trips increase fivefold.
As part of Bolt’s Green Plan, a long-term commitment to reduce the ecological footprint of the company, the ride hailing app offers 100% carbon-neutral rides in Europe and aims to support the city improve its air quality following the introduction of the Clean Air Zone in Birmingham.
