A new way to shop for everyday essentials arriving first in Birmingham.
April Avenue, the retail analytics company, has launched the BSKET Alpha test within central Birmingham.
BSKET delivers convenience at your fingertips. App users can easily find and select everyday essentials, such as food and sundries, at retail prices to add to their BSKET and have them delivered to their door in just twenty minutes.
Throughout the Alpha test, the BSKET team will trial new features and continually hone the technology and operating model, all in preparation for a full, Birmingham-wide rollout, to come later in 2021. The Alpha test will run from Wednesday 27th January through to Wednesday 3rd February.
The BSKET app is available through Google Play on Android and the App Store on iOS right now. You can find download links on the official website at www.bsket.app – download and set up your profile in the BSKET app now to be ready for when the Alpha test begins.
Aaron Bedward (pictured), Founder and CEO, said: “We’re bringing BSKET to central Birmingham first, because I’m from here and I love this city – but also because it’s the perfect testing ground for a brand-new service. Our aim, following a successful Alpha, is to bring employment to the city, with fully staffed and distributed fulfilment centres in key areas across Birmingham in 2021, plus teams of delivery drivers to bring true convenience to the city.”
Thomas Wallis, CMO, said: “Given everything going on in the country right now, and the risk the public takes simply to get to the shops, BSKET brings the fastest convenience service to the market. Stay at home, put your feet up, and we’ll bring you what you need in just twenty minutes.”
Aaron has founded BSKET after building a successful career within data science and analytics, leading a 200-strong multi-disciplinary team across Asia-Pacific and Japan. Using a lean operating model, distributed fulfilment centres, machine learning and artificial intelligence, BSKET brings market-leading speed and convenience.
