Local dates for blues artists.
Blues lovers will be able to see two of Europe’s finest talents in unusual surroundings later his month.
On 23rd January, Irish power trio Crow Black Chicken return to Birmingham with a date at Pizza Express. The band, who were voted best act by the audience of the Introducing Stage at The Great British Rock & Blues Festival last year, hve won wide aclaim for their southern blues sound.
Then on 25th January the highly-regarded Eliana Cargnelutti plays the Lamp Tavern, Dudley. In 2015 this Italian singer/guitarist was named one of the five best female guitarists in the rock blues scene at the American Jimi Awards and was nominated the fifth best female guitar player of the rock blues world by Blues E-news magazine. In the same year, she was also part of the international Tour with Blues Caravan project Girls With Guitars.
Eliana plays an eclectic mix of electric funk, mixed with pop, jazzy instrumentals and blues rock. Her band features well-known musicians from the Italian blues scene.
