More quality music from the city’s premier jazz promoters.
Three will be a pleasure rather than a crowd at 1,000 Trades on Friday evening when the richard Fairhirst trio are the star attraction.
Steinway Artist Richard Fairhurst has been an important figure on the UK jazz scene since the mid 1990’s. His ongoing significance is evident in the recent album of superb duets which he recorded with the late, great John Taylor.
This concert features Richard’s exciting new trio with the propulsive bass work of Dave Whitford and brilliant drummer Tim Giles. Their music combines both cerebral and lyrical improvisation full of emotion with high-energy grooves.
