Refurbished hotel to draw on links with automotive industry.
On Wednesday 11th December, the newly refurbished Mercure Birmingham West Hotel was unveiled to the public through a dedicated launch event.
The occasion was a huge success, with members of the community, representatives from local businesses and social media influencers all showing their support.
From 3.30pm until 6pm, all guests were invited to celebrate with a prosecco afternoon tea, followed by a hot and cold Fusion buffet, gin cocktails and live entertainment until 9pm.
Having previously operated under the Park Inn brand, the hotel is one of six across the UK to have been signed by Danish based property group, Proark, and rebranded to Mercure.
The new Mercure Hotel will be managed by Accor and incorporates locally inspired artwork and design within its décor, whilst still maintaining the consistent quality of an international brand.
The new Mercure Birmingham West Hotel draws inspiration from the automotive industry which has been a constant presence in the region and features curated display items that encompass elements of the area’s cultural and historic past.
Michael Kuc, General Manager for the new Mercure Birmingham West Hotel confirmed: “The launch of the new Mercure Birmingham West Hotel on Wednesday 11th December was a huge success, with both members of the public and local businesses providing positive feedback for the completely refurbished property. We are pleased to offer an impeccable service and a stylish décor featuring local touches – something that every Mercure Hotel is proud to present.”
The Mercure Birmingham West Hotel consists of 168 rooms, including 69 Classic Double Rooms, 16 Executive Rooms and 17 meeting rooms, with impressive onsite leisure facilities including a fully equipped gym and heated indoor pool and jacuzzi.
Michael Brag, Chairman of Proark added: “We have worked closely with Accor since signing this portfolio of hotels, including the new Mercure Birmingham West Hotel, and are extremely pleased with the result of the refurbishment. Each hotel has the Mercure service and features guests expect but they offer local touches too, which we are confident will be well received by business and leisure travellers alike.”
The Mercure Birmingham West Hotel is one of six new sites to be owned and refurbished by Proark and managed by Accor, with the other five hotels positioned in key locations across the UK including Bedford, Cardiff, Harlow, Telford and Nottingham.
