George Clooney boost for campaign to keep cinema open.
Wolverhampton’s Light House Cinema and Café Bar will be holding a Halloween fundraiser on 31st October as part of their ongoing #LoveLightHouse campaign. The campaign was set up to raise money to secure the future of the iconic city centre community hub following a series of funding cuts.
The Halloween event, branded as ‘From (Almost) Dusk Till Midnight’ sees audiences invited to a 7.45pm screening of the Robert Rodriguez vampire classic From Dusk Till Dawn, starring George Clooney and Salma Hayek, followed by a party in Light House’s own specially decorated Lock Works Bar.
Light House CEO Kelly Jeffs says, “We’re looking forward to our Halloween party, which is becoming a bit of an annual event in the city. It’s a great opportunity to welcome regular visitors – and hopefully lots of new ones too – to enjoy the best of what Light House has to offer with the brilliant film ‘From Dusk Till Dawn’ and the fantastic atmosphere of Lock Works bar.
“Every ticket sold contributes to Light House’s continuing operation, so if you’re looking for something to do this Halloween come along and have a great night out and help our fantastic cause at the same time.”
Tickets to the film and party cost £11 with a concessions price of £9.50 and £7 for students. Tckets for party only are £5 and to the film screening only are £8.90 with concessions £7.40.
