Get set for the drinks event of the year.
Cocktail-lovers, rejoice! The greatest Birmingham Cocktail Weekend of all time is on its way to you. Commemorating five years of taking the city by storm, the biggest and best cocktail celebration in the region will be bringing together even more cocktails, more venues, and more events than ever before.
Proving five really is the magic number, BCW2019 will bring together fifty of the city’s best-loved venues. Not only has #BCW2019 added more venues to their impressive line-up, but have extended the festival, meaning a whole extra day of cocktail shenanigans. Kicking things off a day earlier than usual, BCW will be running from Thursday 11th–Sunday 14th July.
What’s more, it will be shaking things up with a brand-new Hub headliner: Renowned brand Maker’s Mark. Bringing bourbon fun to the Urban Room at the Mailbox, the Maker’s Mark Hub will be the starting point for cocktail-revellers, where they can grab their wristbands and sample the delights of Maker’s Mark, before heading out to explore the best of the city’s bar scene, one cocktail at a time.
With a star-studded selection of venues, spanning the city from the Mailbox to the Jewellery Quarter, and Broad Street to Colmore Row, there are several new faces on the #BCW2019 bill.
Each venue will produce a brand-new, innovative cocktail, exclusively for the weekend on offer only to wristband-wearers.
Speaking about five years of Birmingham Cocktail Weekend, founder of Living For The Weekend Alex Nicholson-Evans comments: “What an incredible five years for Birmingham Cocktail Weekend! We’re thrilled to be celebrating our fifth birthday with what we’re certain will be the biggest and best festival to date. We’ve got an extra day of cocktail fun, a record number of the city’s best loved bars signed up and, most importantly, more signature cocktails to enjoy!
“Birmingham Cocktail Weekend is all about getting people to step outside of their comfort zone, encouraging them to venture further than their local to discover and experiment with new flavour combinations. With wristbands already flying off the shelf, more cocktail-revelers than ever before are expected to visit our incredible line-up of venues and we can’t wait to welcome them all.”
Wristbands are priced at £10 and grant wearers access to signature £4 cocktails across all participating venues, as well as access to an array of exciting events that will take place over the four-day festival; from tastings to masterclasses and everything in between, they’re sure to keep cocktail-lovers shaken and stirred. On sale now, wristbands are priced at £10 and are available to buy from www.birminghamcocktailweekend.co.uk.
