Bromsgrove arts centre presents the best in female comedy.
With a programme this March packed full of amazing female talent, there’s plenty to celebrate at Artrix for this year’s International Women’s Day, including the return of Stand Up For Women on Wednesday 6th March. Audiences can expect a hilarious evening of comedy, packed with headline acts.
This year’s Stand Up for Women features Barbara Nice, the alter ego of Holy Mary from Peter Kay’s Phoenix Nights. Described by The Times as “A hybrid between Victoria Wood and Mrs Merton”, Barbara returns to Artrix, following her successful Christmas Cracker performance in December.
Performing alongside Barbara is the up and coming comedian Jules Oliver and Allyson June Smith, who is a multiple Canadian Comedy Award nominee and self-confessed over-sharer.
The evening will be hosted by MY Comedy’s resident MC, Maureen Younger.
Stand Up For Women will be performed on Wednesday 6th March at 8.00pm. Tickets cost £14 each and this show is recommended for audiences aged 18+.
