4.5 million visit Birmingham estate in 2018.
Birmingham’s Brindleyplace has been celebrating its record-breaking success after announcing 4.5 million visitors passed through the estate in 2018 – its highest number to date.
Over 238,000 visitors alone attended a packed calendar of events in the last 12 months, including annual favourites such as the Family Festival, Summer Film Festival, Chilli Festival and Chocival, as well as the first ever Winter Film Festival.
Birmingham’s only fully-managed estate, Brindleyplace is home to 10,000 employees from over 25 businesses. It has continued to be a hub of activity for tenants and locals alike, with Central Square playing host to fresh produce markets and live music over the summer months, alongside the introduction of weekly yoga classes for on-site workers.
An incredible £62,000 has also been raised throughout the year for local charity partners Cure Leukaemia, Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice and The Buddy Bag Foundation.
Brindleyplace also remains one of the safest places to visit in the city, with a security team on-site 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to ensure the estate is secure at all times.
Stacey Muir, Marketing Executive at Brindleyplace, said: “We are naturally over the moon at these record-breaking visitor figures! We’ve seen an increase of 200,000 visitors since 2017 alone, which is a testament to all of the great amenities we have on-site. Whether you’re visiting for business or pleasure, Brindleyplace certainly has it all, with over 25 bars and restaurants, an on-site gym and spa, culture in the form of Ikon and the Crescent Theatre, and not forgetting the National Sea Life Centre.
“Our programme of events at Brindleyplace has also continued to go from strength to strength, attracting both tenants and locals to the estate, helping us to create a real sense of community in the heart of the city. With the 2019 calendar filling up fast, it’s shaping up to be another fantastic year!”
