Another night of quality music in store.
The next production for Birmingham Jazz at the 1,000 Trades bar in the Jewellery Quarter will see a return for singer Fini Bearman this coming Friday, 19th October. Her debut for the organisation saw her present a fabulous live performance of the Burn the Boat set with wonderful sweeping melodies. Now she returns with a David Bowie song list.
Fini has been making a name for herself on the UK scene as “a true jazz artist” (Londonjazznews), equally at home performing original music as well as interpreting classic songs.
Reviews of her work have ehanced her burgeoning reputation with the success of her album Burn the Boat (Two Rivers Records, 2016). For this brand new project Fini is joined by pianist Tom Cawley (Curios, Acoustic Ladyland, Peter Gabriel), and bassist Calum Gourlay (Kit Downes, Tommy Smith, Kurt Elling) where they will be reimagining songs from the late, great songwriter of our time, David Bowie.
Fini Bearman, Friday 19th October, 1,000 Trades 16 Frederick Street, Birmingham B1 3HE.
