Jewellery Quarter setting for working parents launched.
Bright Minds Daycare, a first-class nursery group delivering innovative children’s daycare services within superb settings across Birmingham, are extending their offering to parents working or living in the city centre at a beautiful, spacious and secure nursery environment for their children.
The new site will provide much needed high-quality nursery provision to the city centre and is ideally located within a 10-15 minute walk of Colmore Business District, Brindleyplace, the new Paradise Circus and Arena Central developments (including the PWC and HSBC buildings) and the Mailbox area.
The nursery group, founded by Birmingham based entrepreneurs, Talon Golding and Taj Heer, with the support of childcare expert and fellow director Kerry Maddock, is a child centred organisation created to provide families with high quality, rich & stimulating nursery environments which offer a high level of care, support and learning facilities for children during their early years.
The team opened their first nursery in Edgbaston early 2018; and their model of creating a true ‘home-from-home’ setting that is supported by experienced practitioners who can tailor the learning journey for each child has been welcomed by local parents. The ever-growing success of Bright Minds Edgbaston has also led them to secure a new nursery site in Moseley, which will be opening early 2019.
The nursery group has also developed an in-depth early year’s learning and development model, known as The Bright Minds Star Framework, which has been designed to offer a balanced curriculum for children across their formative years. The Framework incorporates key childcare approaches alongside the core statutory Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Kerry Maddock, Nursery Director at Bright Minds Daycare with over 15 years childcare experience, states that: “We wanted to create a nursery group that was built upon a deep understanding of the stages of child development and modern educational techniques. Bright Minds Daycare offers superior quality across its environment that have been meticulously planned to enable and encourage children to harness and apply all their senses to explore and investigate the world around them.”
The Jewellery Quarter nursery will offer a specialist range of extra-curricular activities and inclusive group tuition such as foundation level French, Spanish and piano to enhance children’s development. This, aided by its extended opening and flexi-hours (7am to 7pm Mon-Fri), aims to alleviate stress for working professional parents who often find drop-offs and pick-ups quite challenging.
Maddock added, “The environment we have created at Bright Minds Jewellery Quarter empowers children to be whatever they want to be, by stimulating their imaginations whilst using specialist resources alongside our team of skilled practitioners to scaffold learning and development. We know first-hand how difficult it is to leave your child in daycare whilst you go to work and the resulting worries parents can feel.
“As such it is important to create an environment which parents can trust; knowing that their child will be in a secure and nurturing environment with staff trained to adapt to each child’s unique character and requirements.”
