On Monday 4th June Australian band Tequila Mockingbyrd make their Robin debut. Hailing from Melbourne, this all-female three-piece have created a stir in their homeland thanks to an explosive punk/glam-tinged sound that has also seen them beginning to make in roads throughout Europe over the past couple of years.

Then on Thursday 7th June there’s the return of Robin favourite Chantel McGregor. She can’t really be called ‘new’ any longer but the multi-award winning Chantel’s brand of blues guitar continues to attract audiences and acclaim in equal measure. Her third album is due soon but in the meantime there’s a tour which will doubtless provide another memorable evening from one of the country’s biggest talents.
Tickets £14
Sunday 10th June sees two shows. First, in the afternoon Birmingham-born Raymond Froggatt will be on stage. A veteran of the country music scene with a lengthy and enviable list of artists he’s worked with, Froggy’s now into his sixth decade of live performance and has many a tale that will doubtless be told as the event progresses.
Tickets £14
Then in the evening there’s a prog rock special headed by Italian band Unreal City. With a reputation cemented by touring throughout Europe and America, the band released their third album, Frammenti Notturni, last year. It was, of course, a concept album and came complete with a vinyl version featuring a gatefold sleeve. Suppot comes from two British bands, Kaprekar’s Constant and The Gift.
