For when you’re struggling for inspiration.
Back in March, mums up and down the country were treated to a well-earned day of gift giving and pampering, but what of the dads? Father’s Day, this coming Sunday 17th June, often goes under the radar, leaving our dads twiddling their thumbs and feeling more than a little unappreciated…
Fear not, however! Sutton Coldfield Town Hall has a host of exciting and varied upcoming events – perfect gifts for those who want a little more ‘outside of the box’ present to give the ‘Old Man’ this Father’s Day!
If you fancy a day out on Father’s Day, why not swing by Sutton Coldfield’s first ever Vegan Fair? With free entry from 10.30am-4pm, and over 40 stalls from clothing to caterers, from cakes to cosmetics there will be so much to see and do for all the family.
If your dad would rather something more laid back and outdoors in the glorious Summer sun, why not surprise him with tickets to Saturday 30th June’s Concert in the Park featuring the world class CBSO?
More events, also ideal for Father’s Day gifts, include, for the 90s dads especially, Boom! Shake the Room! a 90s throwback Summer party (20th July) or perhaps even King Pleasure and the Biscuit Boys’ 30th anniversary concert (26th July), sure to have the whole town rocking! For Jazz fans, trumpet virtuoso James Morrison is the star guest of the Midland Youth Jazz Orchestra on Fri 13 July. Whatever his preference there is something for every dad at Sutton Coldfield Town Hall this summer.
The listed Victorian Town Hall, close to the town’s railway station, was recently taken over the Sutton Coldfield Arts and Recreational Trust, a team of local Arts and Heritage enthusiasts. Staff at the iconic community theatre, meeting and party venue are creating an exciting line up of shows and events for 2018, from dances, bands and musicals to trade fairs and comedy events.
