Artrix arts centre seeks board members.
Did you know that Artrix Arts Centre in Bromsgrove, along with its dedicated staff, is managed by a voluntary board? Board members are both the directors and trustees of the charitable limited company fulfilling the important role of ensuring that the organisation is being properly managed and has a successful and sustainable future.
There are currently vacancies for new board members and Artrix is seeking people from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences to enrich and maintain a balanced Board of Trustees that has the diversity and enthusiasm to support the organisation. Anyone with skills in one or more of the following areas: arts and cultural development, finance, business, education, fundraising and legal could be considered for the fulfilling and demanding position.
Artrix presents an exciting and varied programme of work including live theatre, music and cinema and it plays a unique role in Worcestershire’s community and cultural development. The current board is made up of members of the Bromsgrove, West Midlands and Worcestershire community who have a passion for the arts and bring together a range of experiences and knowledge.
The Chair of the Board, Dorothy Wilson MBE FRSA said; “We are keen to attract new board members who will be committed to Artrix and able to give the necessary time, energy and dedication to help lead the organisation through the next stages of our development. We are very open to people whose life experience might yield skills from unexpected sources and we are keen to make new and fruitful connections, especially in the business and commercial worlds.
“Under the strong leadership of our Artistic Director, Hannah Phillips, and with a dedicated board, I believe Artrix has every opportunity to reach its ambitious goals and to continue making a decisive difference over the coming years to the life of Bromsgrove, Worcestershire and beyond.”
An introduction evening for anyone interested in becoming involved in this exciting opportunity will take place on Wednesday 29th November at 6.00pm at Artrix.
