Birmingham City University student Zoe Summers writes about a charity event she’s helping promote.
For one of my current university projects myself and seven other students are fundraising for homeless charity St Basils. We have named ourselves Diamond Events and have pages on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. We also have a go fund me page.
We are hosting a Drag event which will take place on the 1st March 2017 at The Loft Lounge, Bromsgrove Street, Birmingham. Our star performer, Miss Marty will be doing a mind blowing showcase performance, our very own BCU Burlesque dancers will be making an appearance, Livvy Campbell will be performing and lots more to come! To top off the night there will also be a raffle with amazing prizes and gift vouchers to be won.
This will be a super fun night with all of our amazing performers as well as a chance to have a boogie at the end of the night, and who doesn’t love a good dance!
Everything raised throughout the night is all in aid of St Basils, a charity that works with young people aged 16-25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. They help over 5000 young people per year across the West Midlands region with specific services in Birmingham. Click here to donate.
Well done Zoe, St Basils sounds like a great charity.
