Happening at the Assembly

If you love great songwrting there’s two dates coming to the Leamington Assembly.

Graham Parker is undoubtedly one of the greatest songwriters Britain has ever produced. Why his talents have never brought the mega-stardom his songs deserved has long been debated, but since reuniting with his long-time collaborators the Rumour, Parker has shown that his live and recorded ability is as sharp as ever. Currently playing a final tour with the band, the Assembly gig on Thursday 15th october promises to be a memorable one.

There’s not much that can be added to the many words written about Midge Ure. He began his career as a teen idol with Slik, moved into such diverse acts as Rich Kids, Thin Lizzy and Ultravox, and also found the time to jointly establish Band Aid. Midge will be bringing some of the songs from his lengthy career to the Assembly on Friday 16th October.
