Dry trains for cup semi-final.
London Midland is reminding fans no alcohol will be allowed on board its trains to and from this Sunday’s FA Cup Semi-Final at Wembley.
London Midland’s head of West Coast services, Terry Oliver, said “To make everyone’s journey more pleasant, alcohol is will be banned on London Midland trains to and from Sunday’s game between Liverpool and Aston Villa.”
To help ease the journey to the FA Cup semi- final London Midland is adding in extra stops at Wembley Central on a number of its services departing from Birmingham. Fans are advised however that these trains will be busy, so the alternative option is to change trains at Harrow and Wealdstone station and catch London Overground rail services to Wembley Central.
Terry Oliver added, “Our advice to fans is plan ahead and allow plenty of time for your journey in case you need to wait for the next service. Also, there are no London Midland train services between Redditch and Birmingham New Street until 11.27 on Sunday, 20 April. If you are planning to travel into Birmingham and your local train station is between Redditch and Birmingham, then you will need to use the rail replacement bus services we are putting in place.”
After the game, the following London Midland trains will call at Wembley Central for onward travel to Birmingham; the 1725,1804, 1825, 1904,1925, 2004 and the 2025
These trains are expected to be busy. An alternative option is to travel by London Overground services from Wembley Central to Harrow and Wealdstone, where you can connect with London Midland services to Birmingham New Street.
