Birmingham training firm gets glowing Ofsted report.
Staff and apprentices at a leading independent Birmingham training provider are celebrating after Ofsted inspectors gave them a good rating – just short of outstanding.
Senior leaders at GB Training Ltd say they are delighted inspectors have rated their quality of teaching, learning and assessment as good. The inspection also rated the effectiveness of leadership, management and the outcomes of learners to also be good.
Inspectors praised company leaders for their representation on the local enterprise partnership board and close-working relationships with Birmingham City Council, other providers and employers, to ensure their range of provision meets local, and contributes to meeting national, needs, very well
The report also found the information, advice and guidance that learners get from GB Training before starting their apprenticeship is excellent enabling them to be certain they are choosing the right programme for them.
Lawrence Barton, GB Training Ltd director, said: “We continuously strive to provide the very best quality of training for our learners and I am very pleased that Ofsted has recognised this, particularly since our last inspection in 2006 when we were judged satisfactory.
“I am especially pleased that inspectors noted how hard we work make sure our apprentices are well prepared for skilled employment and the high expectations we have of them. This is a hugely welcome Ofsted report, which has come as we celebrate the company’s 20th anniversary.
