Award-winning musicians to perform in folk double-header.
One of the country’s top folk musicians will be performing at the Red Lion, Kings Heath on Wednesday 4th March.
Stourbridge-born Sunjay’s natural drift between folk and blues have seen him recognised y both camps. He made the final selection for the BBC’s Young Folk Award in 2012, had three nominations at the Exposure Music Awards 2014 and was also recognised by the 2014 British Blues Awards. His performances have been described as “mature and confident” while his guitar playing has been hailed as “superb, brilliant, experienced, intricate and faultless”.
Sunjay has worked with, amongst others, Steeleye Span, Martin Simpson and Terry Reid while his third album Sunjay was released in September 2014.
Also appearing will be local folk rockers Eddy Morton & the Bushburys.
