A celebrated martial artist and musician from Birmingham will be launching a tour of unique Oriental martial dance and music at MAC Birmingham.
Kokoro Martial Dance and Music will be performed by Fay Goodman, with original live music from China Doll and special guests, at the MAC’s Hexagon Theatre in Cannon Hill Park on Thursday, March 20 at 7.30pm.
The two-hour show will celebrate the artistry of 16th Century Japanese swordsman Miyamoto Musashi and include a Samurai sword performance to a 3,000-year-old piece of traditional tapia music by Mohinder Singh.
It will also feature performances of Indian Gatka and Chinese Tai Chi martial dances, and music with east and west influences by Mark Wolski on keyboards, The Celturian (aka Martin Lucas) on guitar, and Pete Hartley on violin.
