City centre venue set for size increase.
Birmingham’s unique city centre meeting and events venue thestudio has completed a major expansion which has increased available space in their largest meeting room by 50%.
Following a deal which saw the company take over an additional two floors of its existing building at Caxton Gate on Cannon Street, the refurbishment of thestudio has created a new events suite and a large meeting room to cater for 250 people theatre style.
Complete with giant screen and full audio-visual capabilities, this new meeting room, named ‘Explore’, leads directly into thestudio atrium and onto the roof garden, which is ideal for breakout space, refreshments and networking.
Julian Kettleborough, commercial director at thestudio, said: “These are really exciting times for thestudio, Birmingham. We now have 30,000 sq ft of space to work with and can meet the needs of much larger groups.
“Our new event spaces coupled with our prime city centre location and proximity to New Street Station, will really help to cement our reputation as the leading independent venue in the city. And give us the opportunity to create the unique and innovative spaces that both old and new clients have told us they are looking for.
“This, alongside the outstanding levels of service that our guests have already come to expect, makes thestudio a very exciting proposition for a wide range of meetings and events of all sizes.”
Local property group Claremont completed the renovation and interior fit-out of the new space, incorporating thestudio’s iconic brand colours.
