Chantel McGregor

On Tuesday there’s one of the most highly-regarded new blues guitarists in the world, as Chantel McGregor returns to the Robin. Voted 2012’s Best Female Vocalist at the recent British Blues Awards, Chantel and her band have toured extensively around Europe this year, their hard-edged blues rock making them a favourite on the festival circuit. Wednesday sees the return of another Robin mainstay in the shape of Dr Feelgood. They’ve been going for forty-odd years and while there may be no original members the current line-up is the most stable in the band’s history. The songs are as good as ever and you know that what you’re getting is the usual Feelgood high octane r’n’b. Tickets £13

Kate Bush tribute Never For Ever play on Thursday. Tickets £9

There’s a quick return to the venue on Friday for X Factor star Joseph Whelan. Not just a manufactured pretty boy pop singer, Joseph cut his performing teeth with local rockers Dementia and the highly-regarded glam band Cloven Hoof. Tickets £10

On Saturday there’s a Blues Brothers tribute with the Jake Elwood Christmas Extravaganza. Tickets £15

There’s a special event on Sunday lunchtime when local blues/roots star Ian Parker performs with a full band for the first time in two years. Tickets £10
