This June The Public in West Bromwich will be hosting a special Diamond Jubilee themed exhibition, and are calling for local people to be part of it.

To commemorate the 60-year reign of Queen Elizabeth II, the Black Country arts centre are inviting people of all ages, backgrounds and cultures to share their special stories, images and memories of Her Royal Highness.

The West Bromwich venue are looking for people who have met or been inspired by the Queen to be featured in the exhibition to celebrate the reign of the British Monarch.

Can you remember the Queen’s royal visit to Sandwell in the fifties or seventies?  Do you have any fond childhood memories?   Has the Queen’s patronage of a charity or organisation made a particular impact on your life?  Have you ever lived in a commonwealth country outside of the UK and experienced a royal visit?

The best stories will be exhibited within The Public throughout June, forming the centre piece of their Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
