What’s on at the Assembly

No jokes about unforeseen circumstances, please.

On Monday there’s the legendary new wave icons the Stranglers, now unbelievably approaching their fortieth anniversary and still going strong, attracting packed houses wherever they play. Support is from Shane McGowan’s old band, the Popes.  Tickets £23

Tuesday has an evening of clairvoyance with Jacqui Rogers. Tickets £10

Thursday sees the arrival of Madchester band the Inspiral Carpets, who have original singer Stephen Holt back with the band and their first new material for 15 years due to be released. Tickets £18.50

On Friday the Assembly hosts club night Modrophenia, with local psychedelic band Stone Foundation playing live.  Tickets £5
