To launch their exciting new entertainments programme for 2012, The Public in West Bromwich are giving one lucky person an opportunity to win a pair of tickets to twelve events of their choice.

The winner of the special ‘golden ticket’, valued at over £200, will be able to enjoy an abundance of rip-roaring comedy, intimate film nights, gripping theatre and high energy music performances at the Black Country arts centre throughout the course of the year.

In 2011 The Public received over 230,000 visitors with many enjoying their diverse programme of events.  2012 promises to be equally as exciting with highlights including a comedy showcase of some of the regions finest comic talent on 3 February, a double headline show on 2 March featuring two stars of Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Mike Gunn and Sean Collins, and a special performance from Peep Show’s Isy Suttie in April.

Lite, a moving play about skin lightening and conforming to media pressures, takes place on 6 February, on 2 March Bobby Baker presents an uplifting and enlightening theatre production about well being with, Mad Gyms and Kitchens, and during February half-term the arts centre welcomes magical children’s theatre production, ‘There was an old lady who swallowed a fly’.

Throughout 2012 The Public also welcomes the return of UB40 tribute act, Johnny 2 Bad and Kings ov Leon, and will see a special performance by The Father Teds, a contemporary Irish covers band.
