The week ahead in Leamington.
Wednesday sees the It Bites/Mostly Autumn double header arriving in Leamington.
Both bands have new material to promote – It Bites from their new album Map of the Pat, and Mostly Autumn their as-yet untitled release scheduled for early next year. With It Bites also celebrating 25 years since the release of their Big Lad in the Windmill album, this promises to be a prog double bill to savour. Tickets £20.
Thursday sees two-tone inspired hip hop DJ Mr Scruff performing a set of deck wizardry and animation. Tickets £9.
On Friday there’s a pre-Halloween special of the Assembly club Cortina Nights, with tickets (£5) available by phoning 01926 838 815 and proceeds going to Myton Hospice.
Coming up soon at the Assembly are former Fairground Attraction Eddie Reader (1st November), eighties jazz funkers Imagination (4th November) and controversial drug dealer turned writer Howard Marks (6th November).
