Tonight (Friday) sees Lou Reed at the Civic Hall. One of the many godfathers of punk, Reed is best known for his solo hit Walk on the Wild Side as well as his work with the seminal New York band Velvet Underground. Tickets £35.
More tickets have been released for Sunday night at the Civic, when legendary Who frontman Roger Daltrey performs the band’s rock opera Tommy in its entirety. This is the first night of a tour which will also see Daltrey perform many of the band’s classics. Tickets £35.
Local heroes Diamond Head, who were great influences on Metallica and Megadeath amongst others, play a rare intimate gig at the Slade Rooms on Wednesday 7th July. Tickets £9.50
