Tune into employment opportunities thanks to community worker.
An afternoon of live music and entertainment will showcase a range of services which can help the unemployed find work.
Track Friday Artist Hour takes place on Friday July 24th and is the brainchild of Dellano Lewis, Engagement and Employment Support Worker at Witton Lodge Community Association.
Running from 3-5pm, the show will be broadcast online via digital platform ZOOM. It will feature performances from a number of local singers alongside guest speakers from Witton Lodge who will be profiling the support that is available to people around employment, health & wellbeing and housing.
Three previous Track Friday live shows, held at Perry Common Community Hall, have enjoyed resounding success. But with the venue currently closed and social distancing regulations in place, the organisation is exploring new ways of reaching out to those in need of help.
“Ordinarily, our teams would be out across Erdington delivering services and activities to people in need, but that is not an option at the moment,” said Dellano.
“This online event will give people the opportunity to find out what help is available to them in a way which is fun, entertaining and engaging.
“It will be interactive too, people will be able to discuss their needs with Witton Lodge staff who will be able to offer advice and guidance to help with any issues they are having around finding work, any health concerns they have or matters relating to housing.”
Artists taking part in the latest incarnation of Track Friday include Harrison James, Jamie Lee, Jackeshia, Darcy Holmes, Juddah James, Shakes Harris, Trill Orthodox and Meliah. There will be prizes up for grabs too.
