Chocolate treats for Bonfire Nights

Remember remember the history of Cadbury this November.

While fireworks are lighting up the night sky, visitors to Bournville’s Cadbury World are invited to light up their daytime by delving into the history of the iconic Cadbury brand during the attraction’s Heritage Weekend on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th November.

Visitors can take a closer look into the fascinating history of the Cadbury brand by taking special guided walks* around the famous Bournville Village. Highlighting significant places of interest, the tour brings to life George and Richard Cadbury’s story and their revolutionary vision to build both a new factory and community.

Alternatively, for families who prefer to explore the scenic village at their own pace, there is a family-fact finding trail.

Back at Cadbury World, there’s even more history to discover through the attraction’s chocolatey zones. Bring the magic of Cadbury to life and discover a recreation of John Cadbury’s first shop in the Bull Street zone. There’s also the chance to travel back 1,000 years to the Aztec Jungle to uncover the origins of the cocoa bean and take a trip down Advertising Avenue to relive some of Cadbury’s most iconic advertising campaigns; including everyone’s favourite drumming gorilla!

For an extra dose of nostalgia, head to the Chocolate Making zone to watch the talented Cadbury World chocolatiers demonstrate traditional chocolate making skills, whilst enjoying a delicious pot of melted Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate with your choice of toppings. With a selection of themed gifts and treats to purchase in The World’s Biggest Cadbury Shop, there’s plenty to explore on a day out at Cadbury World.

Don’t miss out on the interactive 4D Chocolate Adventure zone, where visitors can experience how it feels to dive into a pot of melted Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate, ride the Crunchie Rollercoaster and soar through the skies in a Cadbury Creme Egg airship – all from the comfort of your motion seat.

Diane Mitchell, marketing manager at Cadbury World, said: “Here at Cadbury World, we are really proud of the chocolate legacy that the Cadbury brothers left behind. Heritage Weekend allows visitors to step back in time, explore historical Bournville and discover where the Cadbury story began 193 years ago. It’s a fantastic day out for all the family.”
