The always rocking Robin

There’s all types of rock, roll and blues coming up at Bilston’s Robin 2.

Thursday 26th January has local legends King Pleasure & the Biscuit Boys making another appearance at one of their favourite venues – and for a band who’ve regularly clocked up in excess of 200 performances a year during a career lasting over a quarter of a century, that’s something going. With musicians whose talent is as praiseworthy as their showmanship, another memorable night is guaranteed.

Tickets £ 13.50

Friday then sees the legendary blues rockers Atomic Rooster performing. With a heritage that includes former members such as Chris Farlowe, Carl Palmer and Ginger Baker, the band reformed in 2016 with the approval of founder Vincent Crane’s widow and have further dates lined up. Support comes from Snafu, another name from the golden era of British blues and featuring former ProcuL Harum member Bobby Harison.

On Sunday there’s a rare acoustic show from the Quireboys. Harking back to the days of Slade, the Faces and the Rolling Stones, the band have a string of top ten and platinum albums on both side of the Atlantic as well as a fearsome live reputation.

Then on Monday 30th January New York rockers Tyketto retutn to the Robin. 25 years after their debut release Don’t Come Easy, they are still touring the world and releasing quality material, as last year’s album Reach testifies.
