Heritage Weekend at Cadbury World

Chance to explore the early days of world-famous Birmingham name.

Visitors are invited to discover the vision behind the iconic Cadbury brand as Heritage Weekend returns from Saturday 27th–Sunday 28th February.

Delightful guided walks are on offer throughout the weekend, showcasing significant places of interest within the scenic Bournville village. The tour brings to life George and Richard Cadbury’s story and their revolutionary vision to build both a new factory and community, as well as improving the quality of life for the ordinary people of Birmingham.

Back at Cadbury World, continue your fascinating journey by stepping into 1824 to explore a full-scale replica of Bull Street where John Cadbury opened his first ever shop. With live Georgian and Victorian characters to help bring the zone to life, it’s the perfect chance to get an insight into where the magic began.

Head back to the present by visiting the unmissable 4D Chocolate Adventure zone where you can experience how it feels to dive into a pot of melted Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate, ride the Crunchie Rollercoaster and take to the skies in a Cadbury Creme Egg airship piloted by the Caramel Bunny, all without leaving your motion seat.

Elsewhere in the attraction, visitors can watch the famous drumming gorilla in action as they take a walk down Advertising Avenue and see how many other great Cadbury advertising campaigns they can remember from over the years. They’ll also experience the popular Chocolate Making zone where chocolatiers work their magic as they demonstrate traditional chocolate-making skills before choosing a treat – from marshmallows to popping candy – to add to a delicious pot of warm liquid Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate.

With the world of Cadbury to be discovered through the attraction’s chocolatey zones, plus the World’s Biggest Cadbury Shop and the onsite Cadbury Café, Heritage Weekend is the perfect time to enjoy a day choc-full of value for money.

Diane Mitchell, marketing manager at Cadbury World, said: “We’re very excited that Heritage Weekend is back this month since it is one of our favourite and most popular weekends at Cadbury World. It gives the public a unique opportunity to explore the fascinating history of Cadbury chocolate whilst being a wonderful celebration of John Cadbury’s legacy.”
