Top comic to host fundraiser for theatre group.

Birmingham comedian Barbara Nice is hosting a night of Easter fun and laughter on Wednesday 23rd March at The Glee Club Birmingham. Featuring an egg-citing line up of some of the UK’s top comedians, this will be a cracking night! Barbara’s Easter antics will include her world famous raffle, an Easter Egg tombola and an Easter Bonnet competition (with celebrity judge) – all guaranteed to get audiences in the mood ahead of the Bank Holiday weekend.

Barbara is back in Brum after developing her new sit com for Radio 2, and will be joined by her hipals Angela Barnes, Rob Deering and Rachel Parris “classy, clever, controlled comedy.

Barbara Nice’s Easter Funny is a comedy fundraiser for Birmingham-based charity Women & Theatre. The company deliver performances, projects and workshops that promote wellbeing and make a tangible difference to the lives of those involved. Women & Theatre work with a variety of target groups including Looked After young people, young carers, mental health service users and older adults in residential settings.

Alongside fantastic stand up, Barbara’s Easter antics will include her world famous raffle, an Easter Egg tombola and an Easter Bonnet competition (with celebrity judge) – all guaranteed to get audiences in the mood ahead of the Bank Holiday weekend.

Janice Connolly, Artistic Director Women & Theatre said: “Our Easter Funny promises to be a night of much laughter and I am delighted that the very talented Angela Barnes, Rachel Parris and Rob Deering will join Barbara Nice for Easter themed antics.

“The evening is an opportunity for us to fundraise for Women & Theatre to ensure we are able to continue working with a range of people to understand what matters to them, and with them to create theatre and comedy that reflects their lives.”
