Symphony of sound at Mailbox

CBSO musicians to perform for visitors.

It’s beginning to sound a lot like Christmas at The Mailbox, as the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra gets shoppers in the festive spirit with intimate pop-up performances.

Having already charmed visitors with an upbeat percussion performance on 15th November, the world class orchestra will be returning to the luxury retail destination on two more dates this festive season.

A trio of string musicians will be captivating shoppers and diners at 1pm on Sunday 30th November, as they perform opposite BBC Birmingham on level 7, whilst visitors on Saturday 6th December will enjoy a lively chorus performance at 3pm. With both ‘close-enough-to-touch’ performances completely free of charge, it provides a very special opportunity to get close to some of Birmingham’s most talented musicians.

David Pardoe, retail manager at The Mailbox, said: “We have been proud to support the CBSO for a number of years now, and these pop-up performances are a great way for us to enhance the experience of our visitors. They’ve been really popular in the past, and we’re sure the upcoming shows will be the perfect way to add a little bit of sparkle ahead of the festive season.”
