The Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice musical will run at Aldridge School in Tynings Lane from July 16 to 20.

Every year the school puts on a spectacular end of term production showcasing students’ musical and performing arts talents.

Teacher Mrs Libby Macarno, who is directing the show, said: “Preparation is in full swing now with a cast ranging from Years 7 to 13.

“After last year’s lavish Guys n Dolls production we are going for timeless costume and minimal set. Instead we are relying on some creative use of photography and lighting to set the atmosphere and some electric performances from our pupils.”

Tickets cost £8 and £7 concessions and are available from the school on 01922 743988.
